January offer!

Practicing Yoga and Meditation has led me to much healthier life choices, more connection with myself and deeper presence. It is not a quick fix nor the absolute solution but it is an amazing tool to keep in your toolbox for life.

The decision to start a Yoga practice might be the best decision you will ever take. But be aware, life might never be the same! :-D

Yoga for Christmas

I'm excited to tell you that Reykjavík Yoga will be open during the holidays so you can come and centre yourself in the midst of Christmas craziness :-) On the 24th of December we will have our own Christmas Special including meditation, Vinyasa flow and some lovely surprises. I promise you lots of candles! On Saturday the 31st at 11am I invite you to join me in a "New Beginnings" ritual/yoga practice, letting go of the old and embracing the new. We will do some writing, so bring your notebooks! Please note that those two classes will be about half an hour longer then usual.

Happy yoga days!

Love to all

December Guest Teacher

Dear friends, I am very happy to announce Reykjavík Yoga December Guest Teacher Emily, that will be coming in from Boston and lead a yoga class on Saturday the 17th.

Emily Wiswell is an experienced, certified yoga instructor based out of Boston, MA. Her classes combine a fluid expression of the asanas, with an accessible approach to the spiritual foundation of yoga. With a foundation in heated vinyasa and Baptiste style flow, her classes are designed to be accessible to all levels. In 2011 she received her Bachelors in Dance, fueling her passion for creative sequencing and dance like motion as well as an anatomical approach. Emily believes wholeheartedly that the practice of movement and spirituality can change one’s life, that each person has the right to fulfill their bliss, and this is what she has set out to teach.

Beautiful upcoming Yoga workshop in the Dance Atelier

Dear friends, Reykjavík Yoga guest teacher of November, Hrönn Kold, is teaching a very exciting  2 1/2 hour  workshop next Wednesday (the 9th of November) in the Reykjavík Yoga studio, at the Dance Atelier, Skúlagata 30, starting at 6pm. Here is the info:

Christmas is upon us and your calendar is probably already filled with appointments with yourself and others - christmas lunch, christmas terminations, christmas shopping, christmas baking, christmas this and that. It's that time of year when we become so focused on DOING that we completely forget to BE and enjoy what already is - the beautiful lights, the seductive scents, being together with our loved ones and life's basic goodness.

This 2,5 hour yoga workshop invites you to tune your sensitivity towards your inner Self so that you'll become able to enjoy all the wonderful experiences that come with the Christmas season and at the same time be able to give the best of yourself to your dear ones.

The workshop begins with a warming creative vinyasa flow that brings us to love-enhancing backbends and deep releasing hip-openers. Expect practical nuggets from the Tantrik philosophy, some partnerwork, sweat and to have a great time.

The workshop concludes with seated loving-kindness meditation and deep relaxation.

All levels are welcome.

Price: 4500 ISK

Payment information provided upon sign-up.
